Clogged Oil Channels
Modern engine oil lasts a very long time, but it doesn’t last forever. When oil change intervals are neglected or forgotten, the old oil will thicken and form a nasty sludge. Timing belts must be replaced at the manufacturer’s recommended distance and/or time periods. Failure to replace the belt can result in complete breakdown or catastrophic engine failure, especially in interference engines.[4] The owner’s manual maintenance schedule is the source of timing belt replacement intervals, typically every 30,000 to 50,000 miles (50,000 to 80,000 km).[5] It is common to replace the timing belt tensioner at the same time as the belt is replaced. On some engines where the coolant pump is run by the timing belt, the coolant pump is also typically replaced.
We can repair or replace all wheel bearing problems from repacking a wheel bearing, replacing a simple wheel bearing hub to replacing the complete wheel bearing kit.
Wheel bearings are used in both the front wheels and the back wheels. Each individual wheel has their own wheel bearing and it is possible for just one of those bearings to wear out while the others are still in good condition.
That is why you won’t necessarily have to replace all of your wheel bearings if only one is worn out. Many (dishonest) mechanics will tell you that all need to be replaced or both on the same axle. This is usually not necessary.
There are certain symptoms you can look for which indicate bad wheel bearings or a mechanic will be able to tell you if you have any wheel bearings that need to be replaced when taking your car in for regular maintenance.
